The demon swung it's great club around, knocking Akima off of her feet. As the demon brought the club down to make a killing blow, Akima used the last
of her energy to shoot a poison spike through the demon's heart. The demon fell backward, dead. Akima stayed on the ground, scraped, bruised, and bloodied.
She then drifted into unconsciousness.

Akima woke with a start the next day when cold water was dumped on her head. She looked up and saw a girl with a dripping canteen. "Master Jaken! She woke
up!" called the little girl to a freakish little toad thingy. "Rin! Why would you do that you stupid girl?! She might kill us!" Jaken said to the girl, Rin.
"Thank you for saving me, but why are you out here? Why aren't you at home somewhere, with your family?" Akima asked. "Well.... They were killed by bandit
a few years ago but now i live with Jaken and My Lord Sesshomaru! I love being with them!" Rin said. Akima was appauled by this. "Don't you miss them? Are
you really happy without them?" She asked. "Well, I do kind of miss them every once and a while but i am very happy when i with my lord Sesshomaru." and as
she said this a beautiful demon came out of the forest nearby. "Rin, Jaken. We are leaving now." he said. He turned to leave but Rin ran up and grabbed his
sleave. "Lord Sesshomaru, can...." she started. She turned to Akima. "Umm... Miss? What is your name?" She asked. "It is Akima." Akima replied. "Lord, may
Akima travel with us?" Rin asked. "I suppose if she so choses." Sesshomaru responded. "Miss Akima, will you please come with us? Please?" Rin asked she gave
her the big eyes and Akima couldn't help but want to stay with her. "Yes, i will for a while." Akima said. She stood up and walked with Rin. As much as Rin
loved Jaken and Sesshomaru she was very happy that she had someone who would carry on a real conversation with her. At one point Akima stopped Rin's talking
to ask a question. "Rin where are we going?" but Sesshomaru answered before Rin could. "We are going to my home to clean you up and to get some food." he
said. Akima looked down at herself and realized how crazy dirty she was. So Rin started up her talking up again. After a while night started to fall. Rin
and Jaken fell asleep on a strange dragon that Rin had called Ah-Un. So now it was just Sesshomaru and Akima walking. There was silence between the two.
Neither seemed to want to break the silence but i was broken eventually. "Do you want to stop and sleep? We will not reach my home for a while." Sesshomaru
said. "No. I don't need to sleep often." Akima said. "Oh, yes you are correct." He said. "Just so you know. I don't plan on calling you "LORD" Sesshomaru.
Just Sesshomaru." She told him. "I didn't think you would, to be honest." he admitted. "Why do you bring little Rin along with you? You don't really seem
like the type." Akima said. "I suppose i do for some of the same reasons you are." he said. *Oh. wow. Is she melting your cold heart too?* she asked him
mentally. "Hey! Why can i hear you in my head?" he asked. *I have the ability to communicate through thought. If you direct a thought toward me i can hear
also* she told him. *That's a relief. I am really not a talker.* he replied. *I figured* she replied. It was starting to get light out and a large
castle-like mansion came into view. *Wow* Akima said. *Thanks.* Sesshomaru laughed a little bit mentally. Rin started to wake up. "Oh! Yay! We're almost
home!" Rin said. Rin jumped off of Ah-Un toward Akima. Akima caught and spun her around a few times. SHe set her down and Rin started to skip toward the
castle. *How did you come to take care of Rin? She told me about what happened to her family and that she loves being with you and Jaken but she didn't
tell me why she is with you.* She said with a thought. *She tried to save me after I was injuried but was killed by wolves in the process. So i resurrected
her and now she follows me everywhere i go and i protect her.* They heard a scream come from Rin and they ran to her. A demon had attacked. Akima had gotten to Rin and grabbed her. She turned to put her on Ah-Un to keep her safe but she tripped over Jaken. She managed not hurt Rin in the fall. Akima curled up around Rin while the demon prepared to attack them. Instantly Sesshomaru was there and stopped the demon from attacking the two girls. The demon died and fell back away. "Wow.. Thank you Miss Akima and Lord Sesshomaru." Rin said. Rin sat on Ah-Un for the rest of the walk. * I feel that i have a lot in common with Rin.* Akima told him. *Really. Why?* he asked. *Well, We both had our parents killed and we both have you around protecting us.* she said. *Is that so?* he replied with a smirk. *I miss being so little, sweet and kind.* Akima sighed mentally. *I think you seem sweet and kind* Sesshomaru added. *Why?* she asked. *You just seem that way to me.* he said. *Do you consider yourself kind?* she asked him. *Not at all.* he told her. *I think you are for taking care of such a little kid* she said to him. It was already getting dark again. They finally arrived at the house. "Jaken." Sesshoamru said wiuth intensity. Jaken ran and opened the door. "Rin, take Akima to the room next to yours." Sesshomaru instructed. "Yes, My lord." Rin said sweetly. *You can clean up and find a change of clothes in there.* He told her. *Thanks* she replied. Rin led Akima in the opposite direction than Sesshomaru went. "Here it is. I am going to go get ready for dinner come down stairs when you are ready," Rin said. She went into the next door room. Akima opened the door and walked into a beautiful room. (You can decide how it looks). There was a huge bathroom and a balcony with a beautiful viewwof the surrounding garden. She went into the bathroom and put her clothes in the laundry hamper and got into the shower and washed her self completely over. She got into the closet and found some kimonos. They were all lovely. She found one with bunches of convientent inside pockets and put that one on and put all of her things she needed into it. It was black with embrodiered fish, flowers, water and butterflys on it in beautiful color. She brushed her hair all the way out and left it down. She walked out of the room and realized she had no idea how to get where she was supposed to go. *Where am i going how am i supposed to get there?* Akima sent to Sesshomaru. *Come meet me at the front door.* he replied. She left and walked back to the front door. She saw Sesshomaru standing there. He was dressed in a black t-shirt that had short sleeves so it accentuated (sp?) his abs and biceps, and he had on some regular jeans on with no shoes. * You look beautiful.* he told her. *thanks... umm.. you too.* she replied. They linked hands and walked toward the dining room. When they got there Akima noticed Rin and 3 other demons. One had long white hair similar to Sesshomaru's he was wearing all red. He even looked slightly similar to him. Only his eyes were bigger ahd he didn't have any markings on his face. There was a woman next to him who had black hair and big amber eyes like Sesshomaru and the man. The other person was between the woman and rin and she looked about 5 years old. She had long white hair and big amber eyes just like the man and woman did. All three of them had dog-ears on top of their heads. Sesshomaru decided to introduce them. "Akima, this is my half-brother, Inuyasha, his wife Kagome, and their daughter Yumiko. Inuyasha and kagome stood up and shook her hand. As they did Akima noticed that KAgome was hugely pregnant. She wondered how she didn't notice that before. Then everyone sat down. *She is so freaking huge!* Akima thought. *I know she looks like she is having a whole litter.* Sesshomaru told her. They both grinned a little. *Okay, why are they here?* Akima asked. *They are getting their house fumigaited and they asked if they could stay over the rest of the day.* he said. *Oh, It must be nice to such a good friend as a brother.* Akima told him. That made Sesshomaru laugh. Hard. Kagome and Inuyasha looked up alarmed. It looked as if they had never seen him laugh before. And they probably haven't. *What is so funny?* she asked. *It is because to say that me and Inuyasha don't get along is an understatement. We try to literally kill each other on a regular basis.* he told her. "Okay what the hell is going on over there?" Inuyasha asked from across the table. "It looks like you two are in deep conversation but neither of you have said a word!" Kagome added. *I have the ability to communicate through thought. It's one of my demon powers.* Akima thought to them. *Oh... wow that's cool.* Kagome said. "Feh." responded Inuyasha.

A huge explosion happened outside in the garden. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru were instantly out on the balcony. "Kagome! Take Rin and Yumiko and go hide somewhere safe!" Akima yelled to her. Kagome grabbed the girls and ran/waddled away. Akima then joined the men out on the balcony. She saw two demons out in the garden. "Kagura! Hakudoshi! What do you two want?" Inuyasha yelled to them. The one called Kagura was floating on a large feather and the other ,Hakudoshi was floating in a strange purple barrier. "We have come for the jewel and to kill Inuyasha and Sesshomaru." Hakudoshi stated simply. "Why have you chosen now? Have you come to avenge Naraku?" Inuyasha asked. "No, you stupid half-breed!  Naraku has been revived. He wanted us to come retreive the shikon jewel." He told him. "Oh, you want the jewwel, do you? I'll go get it for you." Inuyasha told him. He ran off and was right back with Kagome. "Here it is, Hakudoshi." Inuyasha told him. "You used the jewel to make the preistess into a half-breed as well?" Hakudoshi looked disgusted. "That is such a waste!" Kagura yelled. "Oh, Kagura? You are here too? Are you going to try to win my affections again?" Sesshomaru asked. "No, I have moved on, thank you. You have been denying me for so long that i had to finally move on." She stated. "Finally you crazy bitch." Sesshomaru said under his breath. "WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?!" Kagura yelled at him. "A crazy bitch. Do you want me to say it again?" Sesshomaru asked. "Why I..." Kagura swooped down toward him. Sesshomaru jumped onto the railing and pointed his sword at her dramatically. A blue beam flew at her, knocking her off the feather and onto the ground. Akima jumped down and met her on the ground. "No one attacks Sesshomaru when I am here." Akima told her. "Who are you and why do you interfere with me?" Kagura asked her. "I am Akima. That is all you need to know." Akima told her. "Fine. It doesn't matter anyway, I am about to kill you." Kagura pulled out a fan and swirled around. Cyclones flew at Akima from the fan. Akima reached into one of her kimono pockets and pulled out a fan laced with spikes. She flipped the fan toward Kagura and the spikes flew from her fan into Kagura's. The cyclones ceased. "You think you can stop me? I am the wind!" KAgura shouted. Kagura started to attack the same way. Inuyasha jumped down and pulled out his gigantic sword. He yelled "Backlash Wave!" and swung his sword. A wind flew from it and puched the cyclones back at Kagura. HAkudoshi swooped down and infront of KAgura. The barrier kept both of them from getting hit. Inuyasha sword turned red. "Wind Scar!" Inuyasha yelled. The newly red sword shot out more wind but this time it broke right through the barrier. "Ha!" Inuyasha said. Kagura pulled out another feather and she and Hakudshi sat on it. Akima got an idea. She quickly went over the two brothers. "Can i borrow your sword?" she asked. "Mine of his?" Inu asked. "Both." She replied. " MIne won't work for you." Inu said. "I don't care." She took Tetsaiga and Tokigin then ran back to face the two demons. She put the hilts together and started to spin them around so fast that all anyone could see was a blur of metal. The metal turned blue with Sesshomaru's enegy and red with Inuyasha's. She charged them with her power and purple energy overtook the red and blue. A huge blast exploded from the swords. It flew through the air and knocked Hakudoshi and KAgura down onto the ground, hard. When they landed they were still barely alive. Akima let go of the twirling swords and they flew into the air. "A lesson for both of you. Never mess with me or Sesshomaru." Akima said. The swords were coming down fast. The swords struck the dying demons in the heart. Tetsaiga in Hakudoshi's and Tokigin in Kagura's. They were dead. "Ha! Now that takes care of them!' Akima said. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru retreived their swords. "Oh! I have good news and Bad news. What do you want to hear first?" Akima asked. "Good news." Inu said. "Well, Kagura was lying she still loves you, Sesshomaru. But Hakudoshi was telling the truth. This Naraku was really revived."
